It is a daunting time because so many things are in flux awaiting the implementation or completion of a variety of issues from war to space shots. While it may seem overwhelming it is a time of great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of new technologies and career fields.\u00a0 How you choose?<\/p>\n<p>How to choose a career path in a time of turmoil often defies logic, and better accomplished using intuition. It is important to match your career with your personality traits and capabilities. Easier said than done. To be in a job that is not compatible with your personality sets you up for either failure or too much stress. Choosing something that does not mesh with mental and physical abilities can lead to failure after a huge investment of time and money.<\/p>\n<p>There are several tools to help you determine your personal qualifications and what fields of endeavor best suit you, and would enable you to excel. This not a magic bullet that will hit the bullseye in\u00a0 your career search, but these tools may save you the time and money of going down the wrong path.\u00a0 That said you must also acquaint yourself with what careers are moving ahead and which are declining.\u00a0 I think this is a good task for AI.<\/p>\n<p>I am reading more and more about people using AI to get advice on career opportunities. Some are using AI as a personal assistant or personal advisor. We all know that AI is still developing, so it is important to ask the same question in several different ways and compare the answers.\u00a0 It is also important fram your questions to get AI to respond at the level you need to make decisions. If you ask what is the best choice of career field for the next 30 years you will probably get a very unusable response. Frame your question and ask AI, as a career advisor which are the three top careers for the next 30 years. Then drill down through each of the career field with questions that are framed to have AI take in to account your main requirements for a worthwhile career. Life is too short for each of us to learn everything through our own experience. In many cases it takes a long time to learn some things through experience, mainly because we don\u2019t realize that we are doing something detrimental to our careers. I worked with a guy who thought he was a comedian. He played practical jokes, teased people, and told inappropriate jokes. He thought he was the life of the party and everyone liked him. When asked to tone it down he only laughed and try to make a joke of it. In essence he was killing and chances he had for advancement. All his hard work was negated by his behavior. And when you feel like the relationship is growing, ask for advice\u2014this can help take the relationship to that next level.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s important that you give some thought beforehand to what you&#8217;re looking for in a mentor.
